What is human honey?

2020

In order to obtain honey, humankind is dependent on bees, which first gather nectar to then produce honey. In t his state, however, the substance is still a work material in the beehive and not a product made for human consumption. To create the honey as we know it, the beekeeper has to further process it. Almost more important than the alterations of the substance itself could be the fact that the beekeeper removes the honey from its previous environment, thus changing the context in which the honey existed. Through the beekeepers' activities a change takes place on both a physical and metaphysical level.
